Registered Organisations Able to Seal or Remove an Open Fire or Woodburner

Fireplaces must be permanently sealed off, woodburners removed and destroyed, and chimneys capped to be eligible for subsidies and assistance. You may be eligible for subsidies or assistance towards the cost of sealing the fireplace.

Note: Sealing, removing or disabling the appliance prior to the assessment can render the property ineligible. Please do nothing until after you have met with the assessor and received your confirmation letter of what has been agreed.
